Soup is Love project kick off was a success!
We had a wonderful turn out for the kick off of our year-long Soup is Love project, where we are making bowls for a fundraiser for homeless charities to be held in March 2018. How the Japanese concept of “wabi-sabi” (侘寂) is reflected on the door to my studio and in my artwork.
When the painter finished painting our studio, we discovered that he had left off the handle to our exterior door. In fact, he hadn’t even painted it to match. We decided to reattach it without painting it in celebration of the Japanese aesthetic known as “wabi-sabi.” Continue reading “Wabi-Sabi”

One of the things Richard and I love about traveling to art shows is meeting other artists. Our biooth neighbors in Indio were Erik Sauliltis and Georgia of Danceprints.
