¡Globalquerque! takes place at the National Hispanic Cultural Center (1701 4th St SW, at Avenida César Chávez). Enjoy musical performances in the intimate courtyard setting of the Fountain Courtyard, the state of the art 692-seat Albuquerque Journal Theatre and dance outside on the Plaza Mayor. Learn more about the Global Fiesta free Saturday daytime programming and the Global Village of Crafts, Culture and Cuisine.

Global Village

Don’t miss the Global Village with roughly 30 booths of international crafts, culture and cuisine. Come early so you have plenty of time to shop! Food and drink available into the late evening, but the booths will shut down around 8 or so.

Global Fiesta

Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017
10:30am – 4:00pm

A fun-filled day packed with educational workshops, activities and performances geared towards both children and adults. ¡Globalquerque! is all about cross-cultural understanding, and the daytime, free Global Fiesta is a perfect way for festival goers to to contextualize many of the evening acts by getting a broader cultural overview.

I am a paper artist living and creating in Albuquerque, NM. Working with paper to create art gives me an appreciation for the beauty and cultural significance of this versatile material. I began by folding origami cranes, and over the years my work has evolved to include handmade greeting cards, book making, boxes and mono prints. Each piece gives me the opportunity to create something useful while expressing myself artistically. I attend numerous art and crafts festivals throughout the country because my intent is to share the joy I experience in making art. My artwork is also available through my Etsy and Redbubble shops.
