Summer is a good time of year to stock up on birthday cards. I have designed a collection of 19 birthday cards featuring origami cranes, butterflies and flowers. There is also a three-card set for the price of two individual cards.

Albuquerque artists and patrons look forward every month to ARTScrawlABQ‘s First Friday ARTScrawl (5-8 pm) and ARTful Saturday (third Saturday from 1-4 pm). While First Friday ARTScrawls are city-wide events. Recently, I took a class in dry-point etching to add new techniques to my quiver of techniques for printmaking. It was taught by Ren Adams at New Grounds Print Workshop. I had a lot of fun learning this technique, especially when I got to use dry-point to etch images onto milk cartons! I also learned to do dry-point etching on tin and on plexiglass. Continue reading
SOUP IS LOVE PROJECT FOUR MONTH REPORT
We are four months into the Soup is Love Project. More than 30 people participated in the project launch which was held in conjunction with Albuquerque’s citywide Women and Creativity. It was great because we met many of our neighbors, some who came back with their kids or grandkids. We’ve had another 30 from our Soup is Love MeetUp. Altogether, we have made more than 200 bowls!
